WHAT IS RSS
RSS or Really Simple Syndication is an XML-based feed format for content distribution. Instead of having to revisit a website to see if it has fresh content, you can view an aggregation of latest headlines via a feed reader which collects news from your selected websites. An RSS service, also called an RSS channel, uses an XML format to list the fresh headlines and live links to a web page.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO
You will need to download a program called a news reader. This provides a user-friendly interface to read the RSS information feeds from your favourite websites on your computer. You can subscribe to a new RSS feed or manage your existing feeds via the reader.
HOW DO I GET A NEWS READER?
There is a range of these available online. Different news readers work on different operating systems, so please take this into account when you choose one, and follow the instructions.
